Which operators are on offer is decided by the type of the source. Four groups, twelve operators.

What works as a source
18 of the 23 input elements. Structure and content elements never.
Not eligible
File upload, image upload, hidden field, first name + last name, and email address + phone number. An element can also refer neither to itself nor to one of its children.
How several rules combine
Always OR
One satisfied rule is enough. There is no AND; whoever needs it spreads the conditions across two nested elements.
On structure too
A condition on a row or group takes everything inside it along - fields and content alike.
Visible when in doubt
If a rule points at a field that no longer exists, the element counts as visible. A changed form therefore does not break.
The server evaluates the same conditions again before validation. An invisible field is neither required as mandatory nor written into the submission.
