Where the form appears

A form is not tied to one page. It is either placed into a shopping experience or attached to products and orders through an assignment.

Two routes, one form

The difference is who decides: you while building the page, or a rule at runtime.

You place it

In shopping experiences you pick the form in the block. It then sits exactly where you put the block, and always shows the same form.

An assignment decides

On the product page and in the customer account there is no block. There the plugin looks up the matching assignment when the page is called - depending on product, order and whichever rules currently apply.

Two global switches

They sit above all assignments, per sales channel.

Activate product forms

With this switch off, no form appears on any product detail page - not even when an assignment matches. Out of the box it is on.

Activate order forms

The same for the order area in the customer account. This switch is on out of the box as well.

Shopping experiences have no such switch. A block you placed is there - independent of these two settings.
